Bento#1
The first bento I made since my return from Finland!
I’m the expert of left-over food! Can do anything with it!

Bento#1 contains:

  • seaweed Onigiri Frog! (and some cucumber for its smile)
  • cherry tomatoes and edamame
  • a few sausages ‘boudins’ (which isn’t a sausage in Belgium, totally different) from the freezer (which was full of processed food… my eternal enemy!)
  • tamagoyaki
  • potatoes salad

So, from September to December 2011, I’ve been an exchange student in Jyväskylä (far far far away from Helsinki). I arrived there by chance: the last week we could apply for an Erasmus program, I just told myself ‘well, let’s send them a request for Jyväskylä… just to see what happen…’ (because there were plenty of candidates to go study abroad). And well… I end up on the 1st of September in Helsinki airport wondering what the hell I was doing there. It was quite much fun, like vacation even if I had to attend to some courses. Except Helsinki and Jyväskylä, I also visited Stockholm (via a pirate boat… that’s a long story…) and Lapland (that’s a very cold story! with Santa Clause, its reindeers and lots of snow).

… and this time, I’ll blog in French but also in English! (meeting new friends from abroad and not being able to share my blog with them because it is all in French —> never again!). I’ll also try to make it in Japanese as well, from time to time… when I got time… and enough motivation…

I erased my last blog (bye bye!) and started again from scratch! I’m planning to be a bit more regular in my way to update it. The main themes are going to be bento’s, my urban garden, DIY and sewing tutorials, sometimes cosplay. I would like to also mention ‘rats’ but I already lost two of them… that’s life.

I’m just back from Finland, this was the end of my exchange program! I’m presently a third year student in Media Communication at the IHECS university Bruxelles). In February I’ll be playing again with camera’s, video camera’s, radio studios and so on! *so pleased*.

In 2008-2009, I was in Japan, for one year in Shinagawa High School [品川女子学院]. If you are interested in my experience over there, you can visit my other blog but it is all in French, unfortunately).

Hope I’ll keep this blog updated!

I've launched this blog project (after many others) at the beginning of my university studies in 2009. The goal was to share my bento pictures and recipes with all the friends that were asking for. The time passing by, my posts have changed, they got more diverse. Now that my last year in university has come (soon I'll be a graduate in communication, animation and events organisation), I've decided to pursue this projet a bit more seriously. So here I am ! From now, I'll make you discover my tiny life day to day ! I'm quite a short girl (150cm tall!) and I guess that my low angle vision of the world might be a bit different from the other people. You'll quickly understand that the little things of everyday life make me happy !
