Here is the beginning of June, it has already been a few degrees hotter and our urban garden is growing! All plants woke up (ginkgo and horse-chestnut tree are spreading their leaves). Radishes are ready to be eaten and wild strawberries are now forming.
This year I start the association crops (radishes associated with tomatoes, fennel associated with cucumbers, etc.) and the addition of aromatic plants (curry, borage, garlic, basil, etc.). It seems a bit messy but that’s normal.
List of plants growing on the balcony:
- horse-chestnut tree
- oxalis corniculée
(urban wild urban wild I scraped from a wall, it was so beautiful)
- different grasses
- cherry tomatoes (red and yellow)
- cucumbers and gherkins
- wild strawberries (strawberries + white)
- garlic and onions
- raspberry plant (which did not go well in the winter)
+ some young plants of broccolis and chards (I do not know yet if I’ll keep them)
